Born in Romania and emigrated to the United States at the age of 12. Lived in California where she attended school and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1989. She attended Cypress Community College and pursued a career in business and administration. She got married in 1991 and started her own business at a young age in health care. In 2001 she relocated with her family in Nashville, TN where she worked at ABC Fuel Systems as a Service Parts Coordinator and at the same time she worked as a Real Estate Agent for American Heritage. She came to work for Fisk University in 2009, first as a research assistant , where she specialized in detector fabrication and characterization. For the last three years she has been working closely with Dr. Arnold Burger assisting him with proposals, reports, and managing his grants. She is also in charge of all the purchasing for the Materials Science and Application Group.
