LaFonda Davis


Mrs. Davis retired from Metropolitan Nashville Public School System after 22 years of service as a Special Education teacher and librarian. She joined the Fisk family as a library assistant in the Access Services department in 2014. Mrs. Davis assists in all aspects of Access Services including circulation, reserves, stack maintenance and some reference services. In addition, she monitors student library accounts, prepares monthly statistical reports and creates library displays to commemorate important historical and campus events. Mrs. Davis also helps with the preparation and implementation of information literacy sessions.

In her spare time, Mrs. Davis is an active member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church where she serves in various capacities:  Communion Steward, Library Committee, History and Archives Committee, and United Methodist Women’s Reading Program Coordinator.
