Ms. Harrell is a proud alumna of Fisk University. She spent the majority of her career with non-profit organizations counseling and empowering adults to complete their education, obtain gainful employment and become self-sufficient. She has been a part of the Fisk family since 2008 working exclusively in the Franklin Library in various key roles including Technical Services Assistant, Research Assistant for Special Collections and Assistant Project Director for the HBCU Photographic Preservation Project.
In her current position, Ms. Harrell supports the Dean of the library with all administrative duties. Additionally, she maintains financial records, makes confidential contacts, acquires equipment, submits requisitions, and assists patrons.
In her spare time, Ms. Harrell relishes spending time with her Yorkie, “Buddy”, sharing in her church’s numerous activities and reading accounts of black history.
