Diane Washington


Ms. Washington has been a dedicated worker for the State of Tennessee for 30 years for the Department of Disability Services. Working with people has always been Ms. Washington heart’s desire.

Ms. Washington started in 2004 as a front desk receptionist at Tennessee State she was able to understand the need of the students in addition, that more education was required to be successful in working with students. After working less than 6 months at Tennessee State University in the Office of Financial Aid in 2005 Ms. Washington decided to obtain her degree in Sociology to better understand the scientific study of human social behavior and its backgrounds, growth, administrations, and societies.

Ms. Washington is a committee member of the Keep Empowering Youth Program at The Victory Church of Nashville. The KEY program is design to help children academic success from Pre-K –Graduation of High School and College.

Ms. Washington presently works in the Office of Financial Aid at Fisk University as a Financial Aid Counselor continuing her heart’s desire helping students.
